Colin’s “Catch of The Day”: Classic Colonial in Falls Church

Hoping my luck will continue for another day after yesterday’s “Catch of the Day” Sold just hours after posting, I decided to stick with Falls Church. Today we look at a classic Northern Virginia colonial.

Resting on just under .4 acres this home has room to roam outdoors, and is clearly well maintained and tastefully updated on the inside. An exposed brick kitchen brings both a country and somewhat urban feel at the same time. While updated spaces throughout  seem to give the home a comfortable feel.

So why hasn’t it sold after just over 2 months on the market? I have not seen the house personally, but my best guess is that kitchen may be the biggest holdup. Though I think the exposed brick makes this kitchen unique, it appears to be isolated from the other spaces in the home, and I imagine cabinet space is a big question mark for potential buyers.

That is my speculation, but I think this home at this price might be a missed opportunity when you look at the total package: lot size, well maintained, tastefully updated, walkable to the metro.
